Jesus wept.

Jesus wept

'Jesus wept' is the shortest verse in the King James (and other) versions of the Bible. You can find it in the Gospel of John, chapter 11, verse 35 if you like. I had to look that up on the WWW. It is a brilliantly succinct and evocative example of good copy.

Writing good copy is the process of using the right amount of the right words in the right order. What do I mean by that?

The right amount: most ideas are straightforward and should be able to be explained concisely. You don't need to use a lot of words. The right words: good writing addresses the target audience in a way they will find comfortable. The right order: proper spelling, grammar and sentence/paragraph construction will give your prose the gravitas it deserves.

I will be happy to write your copy for you.
