Call for submissions: Pete Shelley & Me – new edition
In the wake of Pete Shelley’s untimely passing in 2018, we published a small e-book that shared personal accounts from fans and admirers called Pete Shelley & Me. Proceeds of the e-book went to support the fundraising for the Pete Shelley Memorial Campaign.
There has been a growing demand for an updated, expanded printed version of the book
With the approval of Pete’s estate, we will be working again with the PSMC so that sales of the new printed edition will benefit youth schemes with a musical angle in Pete’s hometown of Leigh.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed their stories so far. We are looking for further contributions, or you can update your existing submission. You don’t have to have known Pete personally to contribute – if his work has meant something special to you or affected your life or outlook in any way, we’d like to hear about it.
Please share this call for submissions amongst your punk and New Wave communities and remember, “Tomorrow’s just another day to find relief from feeling sad …“
Submission guidelines
- Please send your words and images to info@carlpeterhough.com
- There is no limit on word length but somewhere between 10 and 300 words would be ideal.
- Digital only please – we can’t accept hard copy or printed pictures.
- Copyright of any words and images will remain yours on the assumption that submission confirms you are the rights holder and you consent to their use in this publication.
